Hi All,
We recently celebrated 9 years since Khumbul’Ekhaya first hit the screens on SABC 1. That was a long time ago, to have been one of the original members of the team that has been around since then is a great honour. Over the years Khumbul’Ekhaya has found its special place in the hearts of all South Africans. I am happy that the show still reaches far and wide, in the length and breadth of our country. There is nothing as satisfying as seeing healing happen right in front of your face and seeing families overcome hurdles and pain that has disturbed them for many years. This is a role that we have accepted as a team and we are still committed from the depth of our souls, each and everyone that works in the team.
In 2016 we enter Season 12 of the series, and we will continue to bring the quality of stories that you have come to know and identify as what Khumbu is all about. It is our plan to show more stories of reunion and reconciliation that crosses the borders into other African countries, in order to reveal the deep bonds of family that run between us. The programme is putting a strong focus in exploring the meaning of family to young people and how important love and healing is in all aspects of our lives. Please come along and enjoy the ride with us. We promise you tears, joy, laughter and a whole lotta love and healing!!!!
