When we are young, we view time as a long linear time, we don’t think about how little time we actually have, we live our lives thinking we will always be young and healthy. A young man leaves his home town to look for a job in the city and always thinks he will go home and help out eventually. Life takes over, we are blinded by the glitz and glamour, the parties, constantly gathering stuff and doing better than our mates. we forget that we are impermanent and our loved ones are impermanent too. We forget to make the time we currently have with them worthwhile, we spend it quarreling and planning. Everything goes away eventually.
If you’re sitting there now and you know you left your wife and kids or left a son or daughter somewhere, their lives matter and you could be what makes their lives worthwhile.
Spread some love. Everything goes away eventually.
